Join Columbia Global Reports online Tuesday, March 28, from 6-7 p.m. ET to celebrate the publication of Flying Green: On the Frontiers of New Aviation with a conversation exploring what it will take for a new generation of travelers to fly guilt free. Acclaimed journalist and historian Christopher de Bellaigue is known for his reporting and books on the Middle East and environmental and ethical issues. In Flying Green, named one of the Financial Times’ books to read in 2023, he meets the inventors, visionaries, and entrepreneurs who are at the frontier of new technologies that will transform aviation as he searches for a way to fly green.

The evening features Christopher de Bellaigue in dialogue with Pierpaolo Cazzola, a Global Research Fellow at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and Jeff McDaniel, Vice President at Velocys, a company that processes waste from the paper and lumber industries into sustainable aviation fuel. The conversation will be moderated by Columbia Global Reports Director, Nicholas Lemann.
