CLIMATE ONSCREEN WITH NRDC’S “REWRITE THE FUTURE” RSVP: https://www.lenfest.arts.columbia.edu/fall-2022-events/climate-onscreen  Join Columbia University School of the Arts, Columbia Climate Imaginations Network, and NRDC’s Rewrite the Future for a panel discussion on climate storytelling in film and TV. Hear from Hollywood creators and climate experts, then join the conversation with an audience Q&A. Get inspired to create and pitch your own climate stories and learn about lucrative fellowship and mentorship opportunities for new and established creators, including NRDC’s Climate Storytelling Fellowship, in partnership with The Black List, The CAA Foundation, and The Redford Center, which selects three writers to receive financial grants, industry mentors, and creative support for film and TV scripts offering new perspectives on climate change; and the Sloan Fellowship, which offers funding to encourage Columbia film students to write screenplays and produce short films about science and technology through enhanced research, mentorship, and award opportunities   The panel will include Miguel Arteta (Filmmaker), Julia Hart (Filmmaker), Meehan Crist (Author and writer-in-residence, Columbia University), Daniel Hinerfeld (Rewrite the Future), and Meredith Milton (Rewrite the Future). The event will take place on November 15th from 7–9pm at the Lenfest Center for the Arts.   NRDC’s Rewrite the Future supports creators and entertainment companies in representing the climate crisis through industry dialogue, education and climate storytelling consultation. This event is open to the public, but RSVP is required to attend.
