The Ages of Globalization is an innovative online course designed to help learners from around the world address current sustainable development challenges. Based on the theoretical foundation, the course helps learners understand history and respond to current global issues by exploring 70,000 years of human, economic, and environmental history and revealing the geographic, technological, and institutional changes behind globalization.
Divided into 28 units, the course covers the foundations of globalization, historical analysis of the seven eras of globalization, and the major challenges of the 21st century, such as eradicating poverty, protecting the environment, and promoting peace. The curriculum incorporates videos, interactive maps and real-time dialogues from UNESCO cultural heritage sites to provide learners with a rich learning experience and inspire global citizenship and practical skills through innovative activities.
