Climate LIVE K12: Climate Justice in New York City

Climate LIVE K12 (formerly EI LIVE K12) is dedicated to bringing the science of sustainability to K12 students, educators, and parents.

About this Event

Presenter:  Thaddeus Pawlowski, Managing Director of the Center for Resilient Cities and Landscapes & Research Scholar and Adjunct Associate Professor of Urban Design and Urban Planning.

Target Audience: Grades 6-12, Educators, the Public

What lessons have we learned from ten years of recovery from Hurricane Sandy? Urban planners and designers had to think creatively to address the challenges and opportunities of local climate change adaptation. In particular, climate justice drives planners to re-thinking the way cities are built to promote equity.

A link to join the session will be provided to all registered participants 24 hours in advance.
