The Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment will co-host a public event in Washington DC for the launch of a Public Citizen report on the harms investment treaties have inflicted on Latin American Indigenous communities. For additional context, read our recent report on how investor-state dispute settlement undermines access to justice for impacted communities.
The event will feature a panel discussion with Honduran Afro-Indigenous community leaders and Ecuadorian defenders of human rights, alongside legal and policy experts, including CCSI’s Ladan Mehranvar. The report launch will be followed by a screening and discussion of The Tribunal, a powerful short documentary by Malcolm Rogge, co-produced by CCSI.
