Title: Maximum Threat: Sea-Level Rise and the Fate of the Small Island Developing States (SIDS)
The consequences of climate change on Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are being felt more acutely than ever before. Various manifestations include increasing episodes of sudden and severe weather disasters, rising temperatures, global warming, and sea-level rise, which add further strain to these already vulnerable countries. This event will explore both the scientific and policy aspects of this crisis and will aim to contribute to finding practical and consensual solutions to be urgently embraced by the global community.
