This year, the Sustainability, Energy, and Entertainment Network (SEEN) at Columbia's Climate School is partnering with the Green Sports Alliance, Hollywood Climate Summit, and Music Sustainability Alliance to convene leaders from sports, entertainment, and media for an afternoon of networking and expert panel discussions focused on advancing sustainability. Under the theme Powering Forward, the event will build on recent industry momentum and explore how organizations can accelerate impact through innovation, cross-sector partnerships, and shared leadership.
Discussions will focus on four key areas: Storytelling, Media & Culture (driving climate action through influence and engagement); Sustainable Live Events (creating greener concerts, festivals, and sporting events); Community Resilience Through Venues (leveraging venues to create lasting environmental and community impact); and Sustainable Apparel & Merchandising (advancing circularity and responsible consumer products).
The audience will include professionals leading sustainability efforts across the sports, entertainment, and media industries, including executive leadership, broadcast and production, marketing and communications, ESG and CSR, community impact, licensing, partnerships, and merchandising. Attendees will represent professional sports leagues, teams, venues, colleges and universities, broadcasters, and leaders from the music, film, and television industries, alongside students and emerging professionals.
