Critical Issues in Public Health Law: State Innovation in a Shifting Federal Landscape featuring Massachusetts Health Commissioner Robbie Goldstein and New York Health Commissioner James V. McDonald

How are states working together to drive innovation in public health policy amidst a rapidly changing federal environment? Through the newly formed Northeast Public Health Collaborative, a voluntary regional coalition of public health agencies and leaders from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York State, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and New York City.

This event is the first in a series of convenings on Critical Issues in Public Health Law hosted by the Center for Public Health Systems. The Center for Public Health Systems is dedicated to addressing complex challenges within public health through rigorous research, policy development, educational programs, and public engagement. Committed to protecting, preserving, and promoting the health of the population, the Center strives to build political and community support for a robust public health infrastructure.

Moderated by Professor Magda Schaler-Haynes. The event will be followed by a reception in Riverview Lounge.
