Reproductive Justice in Brazil: Evidence from the Peripheries

How can reproductive justice in Brazil, particularly from the peripheries, inform global multilateral processes like CSW69? Join us for a compelling conversation that delves into intersectional feminist research, evidence-based advocacy, and the importance of amplifying the voices of marginalized communities.
This side event, hosted by the Columbia Law School Human Rights Institute in collaboration with Redes da Maré, will feature a panel discussion on Redes da Maré’s report on reproductive justice and its use of participatory research. The discussion will explore the significance of research-driven advocacy and its potential to influence negotiations and outcomes at CSW69. Redes da Maré and Columbia Law School Human Rights Clinic will also discuss a technical brief for CSW69 launched on March 8th, highlighting information about reproductive justice in Maré.
