On behalf of Ashoka, the world's largest network of social entrepreneurs, I invite you to a seminar with Anshu Gupta, entitled ‘Dignity-Led Development: Sustainability at Scale’.
Mr. Gupta is the Founder of Goonj, Ramon Magsaysay Award recipient, and Ashoka and Schwab Fellow. Mr. Gupta pioneered the world's first initiative addressing material poverty as a development issue, transforming India's culture of giving by bridging urban surplus with rural community-led development. Over two decades, Goonj has become India's first responder to climate emergencies, engaging pan-India civic participation while centering community agency and dignity in disaster response and climate mitigation.
The seminar will be on April 10th from 10-11 AM in Hess Commons in the Allan Rosenfield Building (722 West 168th Street, 10th floor) and will be accessible via Zoom as well.
This seminar is being organized by Ambika Sood, first-year MPH student in Sociomedical Sciences and volunteer at Ashoka, and co-sponsored by Ashoka and C-ARCH.
