Climate change demands data-driven decisions. Extreme weather events will intensify, and inaction will be costly.
New technologies provide tools for monitoring and mitigation—satellites capture images daily, and sensors generate real-time environmental data.
This hands-on workshop will explore climate tech solutions using systems design thinking, interactive exercises, and case studies.

- Mina Lee Hamburg ('23SPS) – Holds a Masters in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. At Capgemini she is a lead in the Group Sustainability Accelerator supporting both global and North America’s clients across multiple sectors with their sustainability needs, advises on policy and regulations, and builds partnerships across the climate resiliency and adaptation ecosystem.
- Viswas Nair ('23SPS) – Holds a Masters in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, where he served as a Teaching Associate for courses such as GHG Accounting, Life Cycle Assessment, and Digital Product Development for Sustainability. At Capgemini he leads ESG data strategies and implementing them for leading FS clients, while driving next-generation ESG data and reporting solutions for Financial Services.
- Franco Amalfi – Director of Sustainability Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships, he leads the sustainability strategic initiatives and partnerships for North America at Capgemini. He also leads the Net Positive initiative working with industry thought leaders, as well as initiatives for double materiality and generative AI for sustainability. Franco is a sustainability expert and digital transformation global though leader with 25 years of experience in all aspects of sustainability and digital transformation.
- Alex Tepper – Head of Ventures globally at Frog and Head of Sustainability for Capgemini Invent North America. He leads the teams focused on climate technology, sustainable products and services, new business building, climate risk, and startup enablement. Prior to this role, he was a Managing Director at Emerald Technology Ventures, a deep-tech climate-tech venture capital investment fund with roughly 800M € under management and an SVP at Techstars (largest early-stage investor globally)
- Miguel Sossa – Vice President and Sustainability GTM Lead for Capgemini Americas. Miguel has over 20 years of experience navigating Fortune 500 clients through complex sustainability and organizational challenges. He is a champion for positive social and environmental change which has led him to create a new sustainability-focused scholarship fund to empower underrepresented students to pursue their dream careers while meeting urgent environmental and social needs. MÁS will provide financial and mentorship support to graduate students enrolled in Michigan’s Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise.
