Thriving Online: Screen Teaching Out of the Box

February 22, 2021
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
America/New_York
Online

Teachers and students at all levels are struggling to make the most of the online part of learning. This week we meet some professors trying to sustain student engagement and teaching effectiveness using ohyay - one of a widening array of new platforms aiming to deepen and enrich experience in online gatherings beyond the boxy confines of Zoom.

Join Andy Revkin, director of the Earth Institute's communication innovation initiative, in a conversation and demonstration with Kayvon Fatahalian and Julie Zelenski, who use ohyay to teach computer science at Stanford University. Other visitors may pop in.

Ahead of time you can watch a teaching demo with Fatahalian and Columbia Journalism School professor Mark Hansen here: j.mp/ohyayteaching.
