These workshops are for high-school students who want to sharpen their knowledge and skills in the areas of climate change and sustainability. The workshops will help participants build important skills, advance their learning beyond the classroom, and network with students of similar interests and unique perspectives.
All participants will join a supportive Columbia University community and learn from and network with instructors who are experts in their fields. Workshop topics vary based on relevant events, the latest research, and current interests expressed by high school students. The 15 hour workshops are held virtually, allowing students from all around the world to participate in the discussion. Each workshop focuses on project-based learning and applied solutions so students can leverage the knowledge and skills they have learned from the workshop into a final project that can be used to drive lasting change. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of participation from the Columbia Climate School.
